Project: Fully-fitted Bespoke Boot Room Storage

The brief was to create a fully fitted boot room that made use of every spare centimetre, combining high functionality with understated style.

The approach was a thoughtful mix of ready-made and made-to-measure. Solid wood doors were selected off the shelf and paired with bespoke birch plywood carcasses, custom-built to fit the unique dimensions of the space. This combination offered the warmth and strength of natural materials while keeping the project smartly cost-effective.

The layout was designed to make the most of the tall ceilings and alcoves, incorporating full-height storage, a built-in window seat, and a functional ladder rail system for ease of access. 

Finished in a rich, muted grey and paired with brushed hardware, the final result feels both classic and contemporary. It’s a space where wellies and dog leads now have a home, but one that feels far more refined than purely utilitarian.

This project is a quiet celebration of good materials, good design, and the power of making every inch count.
